Keeping Our Children Safe at School Webinar with Susan Labadi

With the recent horrible incident that took the lives of several innocent children in Connecticut it is now more important then ever to consider the safety of our children.  Join ISNA’s  Webinar with renowned teacher and former principal Sr. Susan Labadi to learn ways to keep our beloved children safe at school.

This webinar is designed to promote an audit of your school’s emergency plans, security measures, and protocols that all school stakeholders should be aware of in order to protect our school communities. Tightly-knit school communities can do much to provide deterrence from predatory actions. We will highlight proactive steps that teachers and parents can take to provide support for a healthy, cohesive school environment. Resources from Homeland Security and the Department of Education will be featured.

Susan Labadi is a member of the ISNA Education Forum Planning Committee, an Illinois registered Professional Development Provider, through her company Genius School, Inc. (www.geniusschoolonline.com), and serves on accreditation teams for AdvancEd. She is also the Project Coordinator for the American Halal Association, and is a regular contributor to articles ofHalalConnect and Islamic Horizons. Her expertise in educational leadership and teaching come from nearly ten years with Islamic Foundation School in Villa Park, IL, and a Masters degree in Teaching from National-Louis University. Prior to a career in Education, she designed security systems for commercial and residential clients for ADT Security Systems.
